We have wrapped up our May classes and events and are heading into June. Be sure to read through this entire post to get all of the latest tap dance news!
Current Session Runs through June 28
We have now completed our 3rd week of the current session and things are well underway. Our Tap 1 classes are learning a fun new routine to the song “Hot, Hot Hot” by Buster Poindexter. The students in Tap 2.4 are learning a military time step routine to the song “Do Wah Diddy.” Our Tap 2.8 classes are learning some of the wonderful tap dance technique rudiments that were created by the great Steve Condos. And in Tap 3, we are learning choreography created by Anthony LoCascio to the song “Lucky to Be Alive” by Frank Persico. We will continue working on all of these things through the end of the session on Friday June 28. Even though session passes are no longer available, you can still drop in to any of our classes using a drop-in pass or Flex-Pass.
Summer Break June 29 - August 4
The studio will be closed for Summer Break during the month of July. The next session is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 5.
August - September 2019 Session
The schedule and registration is now available for our August-September 2019 Session which will run from Monday, August 5 through Friday, September 20. 7 Week Passes and Unlimited Passes are available and will be through the end of the second week of classes (August 16).
You might notice some new and different things on our schedule for this session. We will now be offering 3 different sub-levels of level 2 each session and we have added a Level 3 PREP class. The Level 3 PREP class is for those who have completed all of the Level 2 sub-levels but who feel they may not be ready for Level 3 just yet. In Level 3 PREP, we will work on the same things as a regular Level 3 class, but it will move at a slower pace.
When we were working on these changes, some of our students were sent a survey asking for opinions on the schedule, our classes, etc. We aren’t able to do everything that was suggested right now, but all of the comments and suggestions that came in are being considered for future development. There were suggestions for offering even more Level 2 sub-levels each session, adding a Level 4, and setting the schedule so that classes of a similar or close level are offered back to back so that people could take 2 classes in a row. As the studio grows and develops, we will look to try to accommodate some of these requests.
National Tap Dance Day 2019
We had an amazing turn-out for our 2019 National Tap Dance Day Celebration! It was so much fun having experienced tap dancers and some totally new tap dancers taking classes and enjoying the festivities. Thank you to everyone who attended the event! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
Clearance Sale
We still have a number of t-shirts and other pieces of studio merchandise with the old logo. We’d like to clear these items out to make room for some new things. Most of these items are on sale for $10 plus tax. The travel mugs are $8.50 plus tax. And did you know you might be able to get some of these items for FREE? We have a customer rewards program and you earn points every time you buy something, register for classes, take 2 or more classes in a week, or 10+ classes in a month. These points are redeemable for studio merchandise and free classes. So help us clear out our storage and get some t-shirts and water bottles!
