On Saturday, November 20, we hosted our final Wall-2-Wall Tap Dance Center event. Thank you to everyone who attended The Final Shim Sham. It was a day filled with socializing with friends, delicious treats, and tap dance. Over the next few weeks, our studio renters will be holding their final events in the space and we will be clearing out the studio. If you are interested in purchasing any of the studio’s assets, please keep an eye on the Facebook page, as that is where we will be posting the items we will be selling. Items being sold will include the theatrical curtain that hangs in the dance room, office furniture, tap shoes, security cameras, storage cabinets, and free-standing ballet barres. At this point, we have a few interested parties submitting offers for the dance floor, so it is doubtful that we will be selling individual pieces.

Account Credits

I have had a few people contact me regarding their remaining class passes and account credits. There are 3 ways I am looking to handle this:

1 - Credits and class passes can be used in exchange for studio merchandise or virtual classes.

2 - A refund can be issued. Most refunds will be issued via check. In some cases, we can credit a credit card that was used, provided none of the credit card information has changed since you last made a purchase at the studio. If anything has changed, including expiration date, we will not be able to issue you a credit this way.

3 - Credits and class passes may be donated to the business to help me close my books in the black.

My preference would be for people to trade whatever credit they have on their account for merchandise or virtual classes or donate what you have left to the studio. I understand that some people may need the money returned. If you have a credit, please email me which option you prefer and I will take care of it as soon as possible. If you are receiving a refund, please include an address where I can send a check, should a credit card refund not be possible. If you are unsure as to whether you have a credit, please contact me and I can look it up for you. The deadline for refund requests or exchanges is December 20, 2021. After that time, I will be shutting down my registration software.

Thank you!

I would like to personally thank everyone who helped to make my dream of owning my own dance studio a reality. These last 8 years have been incredible and I have enjoyed teaching all of you. I am looking forward to resuming my teaching sometime in 2022, but I would like to ask you all to please be patient. The work involved with shuttering my studio is a little overwhelming right now. I’m guessing it will be January or February before I am ready to begin looking for a place or places to teach. Trust me, I will be sending out emails and posting things to Facebook once I know more.

  1. I am sorry to hear you are closing. I thought your program was unique and wonderful for people in of all ages, but especially for older people (78). I didn’t get a chance to participate too much, because I was in and out of town, but I appreciate the opportunity to have the experience. Best Wishes for the holidays and for your plans next year. 2. I don’t even remember how many classes we had left but my daughter Madison and I stopped coming in March of 2020. We planned to return once masks weren’t needed any more. It is money spent and not money that I need back. So sad you are closing but I totally understand. Love and best wishes!

  3. Mary you have been and will remain our beloved Arizona Ambassador of Tap and we are all forever grateful to you for all you have done for all of us and the tap AND dance community in Arizona. May God bless you as you move into the next chapter of your amazing life. Thank you Mary. We love you.
