We Are Open Veteran’s Day: Monday, November 12
We will be open on Monday, November 12 and all of our classes will meet as usual. Veterans and active members of the U.S. Military can take classes for FREE on Monday. It’s our way of saying “Thank you for your service!”
Schedule Changes for Nov-Dec
We have cancelled the Tuesday 5:30 pm Tap Level 2.1 class due to low enrollment. All other classes have reached minimum enrollment requirements and will remain on the schedule for the rest of the session. Session passes will be available for sale through Friday Nov. 16. After that, you can still take classes using a Flex-Pass or drop-in class passes.
Parade Volunteers Still Needed
The HeartBeat Tap Ensemble will be performing in the Tempe Opening Night Fantasy of Lights Parade on Friday, November 23. We need 3 volunteers to carry the banner and wheel the sound system. At this point, we have secured 1 volunteer, so we need 2 more. Volunteers will need to plan on arriving at Mill Ave near Rio Salado around 4 - 4:30 pm. The parade starts promptly at 6 pm. Please contact Mary if you are interested in helping out. This is a great opportunity for aspiring HeartBeats to spend some time with the group and get to know us!
AZ Tap Club Update
November is going to be busy for AZ Tap Club! The following events have been scheduled:
“Moses Supposes” Workshop with Kristie Betz
Sunday, November 18 2 - 3:30 pm
Kristie Betz will be in town from Oregon and will be teaching a 90 minute tap workshop that will include some of Bob Carroll’s rudiments and some of the choreography from the “Moses Supposes” number from the movie “Singing in the Rain.” You can save a spot but emailing Mary at [email protected] or through our registration system: Click here to register.
Black Friday Tap Workshop with Jenefer Miller and Steve Zee
Friday, November 23, 1 - 4 pm
Come tap off the turkey on Friday, November 23. The schedule for the day is:
Intermediate-Advanced Tap Dancers: $20 per class, $50 for all 3 classes
1 - 2 pm Steve Zee
2 - 3 pm Jenefer Miller
3 - 4 pm Mixed Level music and improv class with both Steve and Jenefer
Senior Citizens (age 50+): $15 per class, $35 for all 3 classes
1 - 2 pm with Jenefer Miller
2 - 3 pm with Steve Zee
3 - 4 pm Mixed Level music and improv class with both Steve and Jenefer
