I need to start off this month’s newsletter by thanking all of you for your care and understanding as I recovered from pneumonia last month. As you all know, Wall-2-Wall Dance Center is a 1 person operation. I do my best to not cancel classes very often, but there may be times when I am sick or have a family emergency and the only choice I have is to cancel or reschedule classes. Everyone was very understanding that I needed to completely shut down the studio the week of July 9.
I also want to publicly thank all of my helpers who helped out in my classes during my recovery. Cheryl, Liisa, Cindy, Erin, and Lynnea: I could not have done it without you! Thank you so much!
I am happy to report that I am feeling much better and seem to be almost completely recovered. I go back to the doctor next week for a chest X-Ray and I expect that everything will be cleared up.
July/August Session Extended to August 31
To make up for the week of classes that were cancelled at the beginning of the session, I have added a week to the end of the session. The current session will now run until Friday, August 31. There are no classes September 1 - 9. The September/October Session will begin on Monday, September 10.
Sept/Oct Session Now Available
The schedule and registration are now available for the September/October Session. The schedule has remained relatively the same as it is for the current session, with one exception: we have now have Never-2-Late Parts 1 and 2. When we transitioned from the 11 week session to the 7 week session, it became apparent that it was not going to be possible to cover everything that is included in the Never-2-Late class in a single session. Students who are totally new to tap dance should start with Never-2-Late Part 1. Once you have completed Part 1, you should then be ready to take Never-2-Late Part 2. Once you have completed Parts 1 and 2, then you will be ready for Tap Level 1. Most students stay in Tap Level 1 for about a year before they are ready to move into Tap Level 2.
Prices for the next session are the same as the current session:
[table “5” not found /]If you would like to register for next session, we can handle it one of several ways:
1 - I can register you at the studio. You can either stop by (please avoid class times) or we can take care of either before or after your class.
2 - You can call the studio and we can handle it over the phone. If I don’t answer, please leave a voicemail and I’ll call you back.
3 - You can purchase your 7 Week Session Pass or Flex-Pass online and then send me an email with which class you’d like to take and I’ll add you to the roster.

Shoe Fittings: Last Chance Saturday, August 4
Thank you to all of the students who volunteered their Miller and Ben tap shoes so that other students could determine their correct size. If you are thinking of ordering shoes and would like to try some on, please stop by the studio tomorrow (Saturday, August 4) between 10 am and 1 pm. I still have everyone’s shoes and I will be at the studio and available to help you figure out your size during this time. I will be returning the shoes to their owners on Monday.
I still have not received the information about this year’s sale. Until I do, I will not know prices and will not be able to take orders. I’m hoping to get the information in the next few days so that I can start taking orders next week.
I think that’s all the news for now! Please let me know if you have any questions.
